are you in a season of surviving or thriving?

Summer was a blur. With all its promise of warmth and leisure, summer months often feel more exhausting than energizing. You expect joy and rejuvenation but, in reality, feel like you’re playing a constant game of keepy-uppy—juggling wacky schedules, travel and work, kid camps, and sports meets—and waiting for something more…wishing for real summer to arrive.

Friends have expressed this same sentiment to me, and I’m sure fellow WFH parents who rely on the school year rhythm can relate, too. Summer was here. It was just more about surviving than thriving. And that’s okay.

Maybe September is the magical summer month some of us have been holding out for. A victory sprint for family fun and late-night get-togethers. A time of anticipation for the season of plenty ahead—the colors, flavours, festivals, and just-right weather. Perhaps, the rejuvenating, joyful season we desire is still to come. Maybe fall is the new summer…and our season to thrive is just around the corner.

are you done with surviving and ready to THRIVE this fall season?

IMO, the best yet overlooked place to start is in your home. It's the space where every day begins and ends, and holds so much for you in between. For some of us, it's also our place of work, so having an environment that supports you is dually important. If you know this is true for you and are wondering where to start, send me a note or DM @iplusdpa and we'll set up a time to chat. We all deserve to thrive more often than not. Reaching out is your first step to saying yes to YOU.

Always,

jds
