what space can you make for yourself in 168 hours?

Designing and organizing your space is a process. It takes time, effort, and desire. Most of us have the want part, so finding hours and energy may be what’s keeping you from moving forward.

Time can seem scarce when life is full and kids are in tow.

But you go to appointments because they’re scheduled, right? While my mission is to help you create a home you love (read: functional, comfortable, and reflects who you are), my experience as a working mama has shown me, over and over, that NOT scheduling time for yourself FIRST, makes it a lot harder to want to spend energy on much else.

Caring for your home starts with caring for YOU.

Whether you take 20, 10, 5, 2, or 1-minute, pick a specific time of day and schedule it in your calendar to repeat weekly (daily is even better). A regular me-time gives you something to look forward to. Plus, when you repeat this practice during an okay period in your life, it will be there for you...to lean into habitually when times get busy, stressful, or just plain tough.

Summer can be a particularly unpredictable time without the routine and rhythm of school to keep us on track. It's a perfect time to pause and dedicate time for yourself. Not sure what to do? Try the suggestions in my reel ↑ or explore one of the resources I shared in my post on awareness. Even a 1-minute breather can help your mind turn down the noise and welcome space to think, feel, and just be.

A fresh week is here with 168 hours at your fingertips.

Before forging ahead, carve out a fraction of this valuable time to make space for yourself…and share in the Comments what self-care practice you're choosing to enjoy!

Always,

jds
