happy halloween!!

Every Halloween since having both of my girls, I've tried to come up with a fun duo-themed costume. In the last couple of years, I've also made it my mission to stick with no-sew DIYs on a shoestring budget. I spent a ridiculous amount of time hand-sewing in the beginning and I just don't want to do that to myself anymore.

Seriously, what was I thinking?

My duo costume themes over the years (L to R):
Moana + Pua, Milk/Cookies + Cookie Monster, Witch + Ghost, Thing 1 and Thing 2

This year's costume was book-inspired by one of their faves, "Dragons Love Tacos". I'm super grateful for the easy-to-follow tutorial by hello,Wonderful. The trickiest part was acquiring the materials! After that, it was a treat for me to spend a few hours getting crafty.

I heart this taco + dragon pair.

Outside of dressing up, we've gone all out with pumpkins this weekend. Carving, roasting seeds, and baking everything pumpkin from cookies and muffins to the pie about to be eaten once this post goes live!

Now our home feels like fall and that feels oh so good.

what makes fall cozy at home for you?

Wool blanket. Slow cooker chili. Glass of Malbec. And with autumn's chill coming in...I'm here for it all.

Plus, my favourite month starts tomorrow and I can't wait to spend it sharing some of my favourite design and organizing resources with you. Stay tuned!

Until then, stay warm, stay safe, and be sure to make time to take time for you.

Always,
