A personal note.
I can’t believe June is half over. School is done. Summer days away. Even more, it’s Father’s Day! And this year, both my husband and I get to spend it with each of our dads together. How special is that?
One of my distinct memories of my dad was when I told him I was going to pursue interior design. I was beside myself with fear…that after all my university schooling, choosing to switch careers from medical lab science to design would be disappointing to him. His response: “I’m surprised you didn’t pursue it sooner!” I was so relieved and surprised he saw that passion in me before I did. The saying may be “mother’s intuition”, but fathers have a special spidey sense of their own. Knowing he knew I was made to pursue something else was support in itself. And I’m so grateful to him for that among much more.
(Dad — I love you and am so blessed to celebrate this special day with you today!)

A rare Father’s Day treat for me: watching two generations having mini golf fun.
To all the fathers, grandfathers, and soon-to-be-dads, I hope you’ve had a fantastic day filled with love and fun memories.
xo,
