I love November. Crisp air. Autumn leaves. Pumpkin. Everything.
Here are 3 simple ways to get you feeling warm and fall/winter ready indoors:

My cozy autumn ritual is filling my home with the oh-so-delicious smell of pumpkin baking.
1. comfy layers
Pile on the cozy wherever your family gathers. Knitted blankets, patchwork quilts, and LOTS of textured pillows. Texture adds an organic feel without impacting the colors you already have in your space.
Pro tip: If you want to bring autumn colors indoors, think deep yellow, cognac brown, or burnt orange. All these beautiful seasonal options pair well with neutrals and year-round hues.
2. pantry prep

Repurpose glass jars to hold grains, seeds, spices, and more!
There’s something homey about fall foods. Soups, stews, and all things roasted. On grocery runs, I’m swapping summer fare for root vegetables, canned beans, lentils, grains, and all the baking essentials.
Pro tip: When possible buy dry goods in bulk and decant them into clear, labeled containers. You can quickly see what’s running low and it's just plain prettier to look at than unkempt bags and boxes.
3. closet cleanse
![Kids clothes file folded in a drawer takes up less space and allows every article to be seen](https://static.wixstatic.com/media/a27d24_86779fdd358f459698d1916217c7ec3e~mv2.jpg/v1/fill/w_980,h_613,al_c,q_85,usm_0.66_1.00_0.01,enc_auto/a27d24_86779fdd358f459698d1916217c7ec3e~mv2.jpg)
Sweaters and down coats are back in the rotation. Take this opportunity to purge anything you no longer love or is too worn for wear. Get a donation box going. See if a friend with younger kids would appreciate gently worn winter wear (that stuff ain’t cheap!).
Pro tip: Arrange sweaters by color, if not in your closet, definitely in your kid’s. This makes finding your favourite shade way easier. PLUS, when you see how amazing your clothes look in color order, you’re gonna want to keep it that way.
what’s your fall-time favourite for getting cozy?
